Derrycourt Wins Digital Transformation Award at European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards
Derrycourt Cleaning Specialists has won the Digital Transformation Award at the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2026, recognising a business-wide programme focused on creating more connected, consistent and effective ways of working.
Founded by the European Cleaning Journal, the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards bring together the professional cleaning industry from across Europe to celebrate achievement, innovation and the people and organisations helping to move the sector forward.
Transformation with a clear purpose
For Derrycourt, digital transformation has never been about introducing technology for its own sake. Our intention has been to make everyday processes work better for our people, strengthen operational visibility and create a scalable foundation that can support the future of our business.
As a national service provider with colleagues working across a diverse range of client environments, consistency matters. Our transformation journey has focused on connecting the business more effectively, improving access to information and supporting clearer, more reliable ways of working.
Just as importantly, the programme was designed around the people using it. Change was introduced gradually, supported by training, guidance and ongoing engagement, allowing colleagues to adopt new ways of working while continuing to deliver services across our sites.

The win comes as we celebrate #PeopleBehindTheCleaning, highlighting the colleagues whose skills, commitment and professionalism help create clean, safe and welcoming environments every day. That makes this recognition particularly meaningful. Behind any successful transformation are people willing to contribute their knowledge, embrace change and find better ways of doing things.
The award reflects a collective effort across Derrycourt and reinforces our commitment to investing in approaches that support our people while strengthening the consistent and dependable service we provide to our clients.
Recognition across two categories
Derrycourt was also shortlisted for Excellence in Client–Contractor Partnership, recognising our long-standing relationship with Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, where we have worked together since 2004. Being shortlisted in two categories and taking home the Digital Transformation Award is a proud achievement for everyone involved.
More importantly, it reflects our continuing intention to use innovation with purpose, supporting our colleagues, strengthening our services and creating better experiences for the clients and communities we serve.
