Karcher's 2025 Cleaning Hero Recognised
In the spirit of Thank Your Cleaner Day, Kärcher Ireland ran a national campaign to celebrate the unsung heroes who go above and beyond to keep workplaces clean, welcoming, and full of positive energy. From a list of outstanding nominees, Derrycourt’s own – Theresa McGettrick was chosen as Most Recognised Cleaning Hero, a testament to her dedication, meticulous attention to detail, and the thoughtful touches she brings to every space she cares for.

As part of this recognition, Theresa received a voucher for a hotel stay, including dinner and breakfast, and Mark Keeley, Facility Manager at Kärcher, presented the award to her in person today. The campaign highlighted her exceptional commitment and the difference she makes for colleagues, clients, and visitors alike — keeping spaces spotless while adding her personal touches, such as fresh flowers, inspirational quotes, and seasonal decorations.
Today also marked a special moment as Theresa received the award at the Portarlington Primary Care Centre. The site was not only immaculate but also beautifully decorated for Halloween, showcasing her creativity, pride, and care for the people who use the space. Her dedication goes beyond her role, creating an uplifting, welcoming environment that is appreciated by everyone who visits.
