For November and December, we are proud to recognise Elma and Claudiu – two outstanding employees who have gone above and beyond in their roles. Elma’s initiative and commitment to sustainability made a positive impact at her site, while Claudiu’s leadership and dedication over 16 years exemplify excellence and teamwork.
November Employee of the Month
Since joining as a cover cleaning operative at a busy site in Cork, Elma has made an incredible impact. Her meticulous approach to tidying, cleaning, and reorganising areas such as kitchen presses, drawers, and stationery cupboards has completely transformed the site.
Elma’s initiative goes beyond just cleaning as is noted by the feedback we received:
Recently Elma noticed Tusla staff were disposing of 'Re-Turn' bottles and cans in refuse bins, instead of returning them for the deposit paid. Elma asked if she could collect them and return for the deposits, which could then go to a charity. The client agreed. I spoke with Elma today, who informed that she had taken an entire bin bag back & has given the client the money to donate to a charity of their choice.
Elma’s hard work, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness make her an outstanding team member and a true example to us all. Well done, Elma!
December Employee of the Month
A long-serving and highly respected member of the Derrycourt team, Claudia has been an integral part of our success for over 16 years. As a working supervisor, she is known for her exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and team spirit.
Claudia has faced numerous challenges at her site over the years, always handling them with resilience and dedication. She takes great pride in her supervisory duties, ensuring the highest standards are maintained. Her commitment goes beyond expectations—she has frequently stepped in to cover shifts, even on her days off, demonstrating her unwavering support for both her team and the client.

Having been nominated multiple times before, it is clear that Claudia’s contributions are widely recognised and valued. Her leadership, reliability, and dedication to excellence make her a truly deserving recipient of this award.
